It started back in 1999 when a customer of our then-fledgling web development company asked us to if we knew anything about sending “mass emails” to their prospects and customers. We scratched our heads and said what any young company would -“Of course we do! We’ve sent bulk emails out before.” But after our client started to outline a list of requirements, we quickly learned that it would be a time consuming task - unless we had the right tools.

We believe there’s something very truthful about the greatest products being built when you set out to solve a problem for yourself. Email marketing has a lot of moving parts and requires specialized knowledge in a lot of areas and we learned this very fast while managing campaigns on behalf of our clients.  We determined the best way to help our client was to build software that we could call our own as the choices at that time were really slim. No one was really doing it and only a few years earlier (circa 1997), we could freshly remember people questioning why they would ever need a web site.

How times have changed!
So here we are ten years later, a great group of people having deployed millions upon millions of emails successfully. At the end of the day, we’re a tight group of technologists, friends, family and email evangelists - always looking around the corner at what will make our customers better email marketers.

We look to surprise our customers each day with a new feature, a new idea or a new discussion. The greatest reward is to see companies like yours grow their businesses with email or even call us to simply say thank you and tell us how that new feature made their marketing day so much easier.

Email marketing is stronger than ever as it has consistently offered the highest ROI ($55.99 for every dollar spent). There are a lot of great companies that have sprung up to provide great email marketing solutions. We happen to think we’re one of them. Try us out. Talk to us.

How do you choose an Email Marketing Service provider?

Sometime ago, our Josh Nason wrote a post for Marketing Profs which was a five- point checklist on what to look for when searching for an email service provider. We might be a bit biased, but we think this is a good start for a lot of your initial questions.
