Can you move to a new email address? |
|
Perhaps I was a bit more tired today than normal, but this email caught me funny.

I think what struck me was the approach of the email and how strange it was. Instead of associating a move with a site URL, the Monsters are 'moving' their email address. Why would they be changing? Are they losing their .com URL? Perhaps it was their focusing an email marketing effort on such a subtle change in email address that threw me off. Or maybe it was the word 'move'. Or, of course, it could be because it's a Monday.

Getting Added to Recipients' Email Address Book and Personal WhitelistsGetting the 'from address' added to your recipients' address book or personal whitelist is an important step in getting your emails into the inbox, rather than spam, trash or quarantine folder. More and more people (both business and consumer email users) are adopting the use of spam filters or upgrading their email clients that include some form of spam filtering/whitelist feature.
Email Marketing: 16 reasons not to paste and blast emails from OutlookThis one seems to come up often with smaller businesses or email marketing newbies. I vow to post three new reasons a day until I run out. (Hint: maybe there are a lot of them).

P.S. We just couldn’t stop at 10. We tried. We think #11 is the strongest (and our favorite) email marketing resolution of all for the New Year.
